Way back in 2005 I made my first Geocache find right here at a cache called Raven's Loft. It was 27 December 2005 and the time was 1818 just before Sunset. So that makes today my 20 th Geocaching Birthday.
I thought it only fitting to celebrate that occassion by having a Wine and Cheese with the Ravens.
As an original Wingapp cache this cache got me into smelling the roses and showed me that a key to a great chace is location location location.
Little did I realise that 20 years later I'd still be enjoying cycling, hiking and kayaking to a cache or 2 and the smell of those roses.
Wine and Cheese
I'll supply at least one glass of wine and some cheese but feel free to bring along something extra if you wish to stay and enyoy the sunset.
There is only limited seating at the Lookout so it might pay to bring a chair or a blanket to sit on. However, be aware there are a number of steps if you take the direct path to the cache. There is an alternate path which follows the road up to the East side of the water storage installations with a few less steps just at the end.
Remember to bring a torch as you might need it to return to your car after dark.
