A chance for those of us in the National Capital region living/working/playing in the West end, to maybe log our first cache of the New Year!
Here's a chance to ring in the New Year in Canada's Capital, and possibly get your first smiley of the year! Easy access by bus, and lots of parking available. You can easily walk to the final from the posted.
This is a Reverse Wherigo.
The concept of a "reverse" wherigo originated in Germany, and there are many of them there. There are also quite a few in Quebec (in the Montreal area, and points east), and recently a number of them have appeared in southern Ontario.
The cache is not at the posted coordinates. It is a camo'ed container not placed for the vertically challenged.
The interesting thing about reverse wherigos is that there is just one "play anywhere" cartridge that works for all wherigos of this type. You can begin your search from anywhere that you want (it is not suggested that you go to the posted coordinates, though you may want to begin somewhere in that vicinity).
This Wherigo converts your player into a virtual version of the "Reverse Cache Box" which tells you the distance to the cache, but not the bearing. The cartridge was created by -Waldmeister- and is available to DOWNLOAD HERE.
-Waldmeister-'s "The first Reverse Cache [WIG]" is the original cache in this family.
Your task is to find the cache by periodically querying your Reverse Cache Box for the distance to the final location. Try to use your Reverse Cache Box as few times as possible. All instructions and necessary information needed to complete the cartridge is contained within it. The cartridge is multilingual.

It is suggested that you take this code with you on your journey. It will be needed if it becomes necessary to restart your player for any reason.
Optional:
When you have reached the final, you will be given some statistics on your quest. If you wish, you may enter the details into your log, and also post the number of times you calculated the distance.
Please do not include hints in your log about where and how you found the cache or post photos that would give away the final location. Any logs that contains spoilers will be deleted. Have fun, and be careful out there!
