I have an inordinate number of odd socks. Some have lost their partner due to it having holes/falling apart, and some just dont seem to have a partner ... maybe because the missing sock has truly gone missing, or been thrown in the bin because it had a hole, or maybe I have another, matching, odd Sock that I have put somewhere else ... and who knows if they will ever be reunited? lol
This cache was going to have a different name, but when I had grabbed an odd (I hope!) sock to use as "camo" and headed to GZ to actually hide the cache - my mind had a wander (to the alternate universe where all the missing socks go, and all those extra wire coat hangers come from?) and I decided this cache needed to be an ode to odd so

When I came wandering along here looking for hiding spots, I stood here and got some coordinates, and while I was doing that, a pretty little bird (some kind of Wren? Fantail?) came and perched on the fence right next to me, and happily posed for a few photos :) I then decided that this is actually a nice spot - leafy, sheltered, peaceful, and interesting ... but if you feel inclined to have an explore of the nearby old stables - please be careful, or maybe think again - as I have heard that these buildings have been found to contain asbestos. GZ is not near the buildings, so hopefully that area is ok. (as for the stables/other buildings - who knows? - enter at own risk).
