This cache is located at the "hub" of the City of Idaho Springs' Virginia Canyon Mountain Park. This park is open for multiuse traffic and hikers, bikers, and runners are all welcome. There are some bike-only downhill trails but this cache is hidden on a multiuse portion so is accessible by bike or on foot.
It is located about 2.5 miles from the lower trailhead and about 1 mile from the Virginia Canyon Road trailhead. Should be accessible in winter, though be wary of snow in winter months.
