Die Kirche St. Laurentius im Gemeindeteil Mauthausen ist eine Filialkirche der Pfarrei Piding im. Sie steht am Rand einer Geländeterrasse, die ein nacheiszeitliches Hochufer des Flusses Saalach bildete. Die Kirche selbst wurde im romanischen Stil um 1200 vermutlich auf dem Platz eines Vorgängerbaus errichtet.
The Church of St. Laurentius in the Mauthausen district is a branch church of the parish of Piding. It stands on the edge of a terrace that formed a post-glacial high bank of the Saalach River. The church itself was built in the Romanesque style around 1200, presumably on the site of an earlier building.
