Extra Bolts

County Highway 26 will have 26 caches in 2026.These are a variety of containers placed on either side of Delaware County Hwy 26. They are numbered in the order you will reach them traveling from the intersection of 10 & 26 in Hamden toward Downsville NY. 

Be sure to download a list before you head out, some places along County Highway 26 do not have cell reception.

The title of this cache (Extra Bolts) is a hint to help you find this cache, it will also help you to solve for the coordinates of another cache in this series of 26 caches. There are a handful of these caches that also contain a clue to help you find or solve other caches in this series (you will understand once you start making the finds). If you find a stamp in a cache, please leave it with the cache. Be sure to bring ink with you, as some of these stamps are clues you will need for another cache. 

Some of these caches are quick sign and drive (park & grab, cache and dash ... .whatever you’d like to call it). While others will require some time (like this one), concentration and maybe even tools. Be sure to have all the tools you may need, any smileys obtained without signing the log will be revoked. A pen & tweezers are an absolute MUST!  

Please DO NOT post pictures of the cache containers in your log, let them be a surprise to other cachers the same as they hopefully were to you!

PLEASE please pLeAsE..... Be careful with each container, replace the log as found, and return the cache to its EXACT location, hidden in the SAME manner. IF you have any ISSUES with ANY cache in this series (ie. it breaks, you cannot solve a puzzle, you are unable to replace it as hidden or you DNF) PLEASE message me, I travel this road frequently and want to be able to fix any problems so future geocachers can enjoy ALL 26 caches too!
