Let's Find Wolli Creek
At this junction on land is also a junction of sorts in the creek. Here you will find a gross pollutant trap and an overflow diversion. Gross means it collects big bits of debris, but it can smell gross at times. The birds like hanging out here just in case some morsel gets trapped and becomes easy prey.
While you're here, you may like to take a photo of the birds you see here, or note in your cache log how many birds you saw on your visit. Neither are mandatory, but it could end up being a little bit of a Citizen Science project. When I placed the cache in January, I saw 3 ibis and 7 ducks.
It is recommended that you walk 🚶 or cycle 🚲 this series as it's the most enjoyable way to explore the creek and its surrounds.
There is a sensible route to GZ and it doesn't include jumping fences.
