They may not be aware of this, but a community of geocachers was involved with the placement of this cache. Jaybod, who is no longer with us, encouraged me to place geocaches at Washburn University. At one time, Washburn University campus was the most cache-rich area in Topeka with 15 caches within the borders of the campus. Jaybod and I kept challenging each other to find room to place one more cache on the campus. I think this area is lovely to walk around with its beautiful buildings, gardens and walkways.
Kevin of kevins2betsey gave me the cache container at the 2025 GIFF Community Celebration Event that was hosted by Nicooole. He made containers with 3D printing and gave them out at the event. If you were at that event, you will know what to look for.
This cache will now be the ninth cache on Washburn's campus and I am challening other people in our geocaching community to find spots to put more nearby.
