Geocache Description:

The cache is not located at the posted coordinates. Do not go there. You will get very wet.

Two events conspired to cause us to hide this cache. First, an old cache that had previously been located near the final stage of this cache was archived, opening up space for a new cache close to home.

Second, long-time local geocachers Frank (4xkrat) and Leslie (88gatorgrl), who had moved to Georgia a few years prior, were on a cycling road trip in October 2025 and were both hit by a car. Leslie survived the crash, with multiple injuries, but sadly, Frank did not. We wanted to honor Frank's memory with a tribute cache.

We never met Frank personally, because they left for Georgia just before we moved to Libertyville. However, via private messaging on the geocaching app, and even through a few phone calls on the really tough ones, Frank helped us solve numerous puzzle caches. This is how Deb got hooked on caching puzzles.

Since then, we have maintained several caches for Frank, and will continue to do so for as long as we can. We will always be grateful for the long-distance friendship that we had with him.

What we remember fondly about Frank was that he loved puzzles, especially really difficult ones. He was very generous with giving hints and helping us solve his more difficult caches. Frank also loved puns (something that we are really not good at).

So, it felt fitting to hide a cache to honor Frank, in his memory, and the cache should include a puzzle and some puns. Because we want lots of people to solve the puzzle and find the cache, this puzzle is deliberately easy. If you need a hint after reading the hints, please message us on the geocaching app. We'll be happy to help.

Enjoy the puns and the cache find. You are looking for a peanut butter jar in a woodsy location. Dress appropriately.

And Frank, if you're watching, thanks for all you have done for the geocaching community. You are missed.

Some geocaching puns we have heard:

A: I can follow directions but I don't know whereIgo.

B: When I can't solve a geocache puzzle, I feel uncoordinated.

C: I once enjoyed multi-caches, but that was just a stage in my caching career.

D: Finding a nano is no small thing

E: Travel bugs are cache and release only.

F: No matter whereIgo, there I am.

Final Coordinates for cache location: N42 AB.ACD W87 5E.ABF

If you have any puns to add, feel free to leave them in your log. Also, if you have any memories of Frank to share, it would be great if you would share those! We would love to see them.
