The event is at Hawkes House Neighbourhood Café Bar, St Mary St, Thornbury BS35 2AB on Tuesday, January 13, from 2.30-4pm.
Food and drink available, dog friendly. The 3 central car parks in Thornbury are not free. The cost is from 70p for one hour to £5 for the day. The nearest free car parks are at the Leisure Centre or Mundy Playing Fields. Alveston Hill is closed coming in to Thornbury until mid-February, so those driving from Bristol will need to find an alternative route. The road is open going out of Thornbury (unless you leave after 8pm).
The T1 bus (every 20 minutes from centre of Bristol) stops close by on Rock Street. There is also the Y2C which runs between Yate and Cribbs via Rock Street.
I have booked the area at the back (they call it the kitchen room) but have promised to supply approximate numbers the day before, so please log a will attend if you are planning to come along. All welcome, new or old. I look forward to seeing you.
Turning 70 brings no additional perks as far as I know, but three score and ten is a significant milestone in life, I hope I make it!
