This bridge was constructed in 1901 by the Minnesota & International Railroad. The tracks were pulled in the 80's. In 2014 the bridge was added to the NRHP but the year after the north side of the bridge caught fire and it couldn't be repaired. This cache is located on the south side which is still very good. It is under the bridge and because of the disrepair you should still be cautious even though this is the better side. To get to this you might also have to wade through the water or climb over it so bringing water proof boots would be a good idea. Then you will have to walk on the boards over the water. Most are fine and this far in I don't believe any are very rotten and should be sturdy but if you want to avoid it you could kayak but you would still have to work to get your kayak into this swamp. If you are doing this in winter you should definitely watch the ice because swamp ice is probably not that dependable.
