This cache was placed by my long-time friend and I as we both celebrated the 2026 New Year in Marnoo.
Marnoo has a population that currently hovers around 99 people. The first settler took up residence in 1865 with his wife and six children. Marnoo had grown to have hotels, churches, a hall, a bank, and a Masonic Lodge - among other things..
Sadly, Marnoo's services and businesses have declined over the years. The last year of the local Marnoo school was 2025. But there are still very friendly people in the town. Hopefully, it will revitalise itself.
