Branscombe's Pond—a great place to recharge. Whether you need to clear your mind or just stretch your legs, you've come to the right place! This is a place meant for slowing down. As you walk, the pace of everything else seems to fade, sounds soften, movements quiet, and time stretches in a way that invites you to stay a little longer than planned. It’s not about rushing through or checking something off a list (okay maybe finding a geocache), but about being present in the moment you’ve found yourself in.
Ground zero brings you to an area of three benches, let this spot offer a pause. Take in the stillness, gather your thoughts, and allow the calm to settle before moving on.
Then when you're ready, search for the cache. No need to leave the trail/bench platform, it's just an arms reach away. Do not get your feet wet!
We hope this cache leaves you feeling recharged and ready to take on whatever's next! It contains a log only so please bring your own pen. Be sure to leave the cache as you found it, out of sight, so other rechargers passing by don't accidentally discover it.
Branscombe's Pond Loop is a very quick stroll that has a mix of gravel, wooden boardwalk and asphalt. There is lots of parking behind Mount Pearl Square for visitors who are driving. It's a great option for most abilities, and a great spot to walk the pup. You might get to see some ducks, fish and occasionally frogs on this route. Enjoy your walk!
