Join us at the Geophysical Sno-park for a Snow Shoeing event.
The event will begin with LFLibrarians Special Backpacking **Hot Ramen kits and **Hot Chocolate to keep us warm. Afterwards we will all snowshoe up and practice our snowshoe skills together and hit the trails. This Sno-park features 7 miles of trails for cross country skiing, snowshoeing so theres plenty to explore, we will be on some of the lower loops together as a group.
**PLEASE POST A WILL ATTEND SO WE KNOW HOW MUCH TO PREPARE.
We have a few extra snowshoes for use, they are also available at some local Libraries or rent from ski shops.
If there is no snow, the event will still occur.
*YOU WILL NEED either a one-day or seasonal Sno-Park Permit.
A Sno-Park permit is required at parking grants access to any of the 120+ winter recreation sites maintained by the Winter Recreation program across the state
Sno-Park permits are available in either online or by purchasing it from one of many permit vendor locations. The one-day permit is honored until midnight of the date written on the permit for parking at all Sno-Parks.
Consider carpooling to the event to save on fees and parking spaces.
