Flip your GPS, dust off your frying pan, and loosen your belt one notch… it’s Shrove Tuesday – Pancake Day!
Join fellow geocachers for a relaxed and cheerful gathering to celebrate this most delicious of calendar events. Long before containers and coordinates, Shrove Tuesday was about using up supplies before Lent. Today, we honour tradition the geocaching way: by meeting up, sharing stories, and talking caches while pancakes reign supreme.
This is a casual meet-and-greet event. There are no puzzles to solve, no hides to hunt, and no calories counted. Just good company, geocaching chatter, and the warm glow of a well-earned pancake feast. Whether you like yours stacked high, drizzled in syrup, dusted with sugar, or simply enjoyed in spirit, you’re welcome at the table.
New cachers, seasoned veterans, event collectors, and accidental pancake enthusiasts are all encouraged to attend. Bring your GPS, bring your smile, and bring your appetite. Pancakes are optional, enthusiasm is not.
Log a “Will Attend”, drop by on the day, and don’t forget to log your Attended afterwards so history remembers that you were present for this fine flipping occasion.
