Hidden river trail is a popular route for bicyclists, walkers, bird watchers (Sandhill Crane nesting location) and Geocaching.
The ponds along HR trail act as buffer pools during flooding for the Braden River to help limit the hazard to surrounding residental areas. During hurricanes the water level can exceed the route by > 5 feet!!!
