DEAR ABBEY: Somehow I allowed myself to get volunteered as a little league coach this year. I've never been able to swing a bat with much authority or success. And after years working in an office job, I probably can't run around the bases without taking a coffee break at second.
How can I save face and help lead our eager and talented but inexperienced kids to win some games this year?

Dear Flailing,
Maybe you can visit a batting cage to get back into the "swing" of things? Don't let the juvenile jocks ruin your mentoring experience -- remember that just showing up on time and keeping them safe is worth a lot.
Of course you could also win your team's favor by taking them to a nice coffee shop for some hot chocolate and baked treats, perhaps along with a geocaching event?

For thirsty or hungry cachers, this cafe offers the usual suspects for beverages and breakfast pastries. No purchase necessary to enjoy the geocaching company.
Let's meet in the courtyard if the weather is nice; or inside if it's too cold or rainy.
