Una volta entravano ed uscivano mercanti, contadini e viandanti; ora il vento e la luce giocano tra le sue pietre consumate, regalando scorci sulla valle dell’Ombrone. Fermati un attimo a osservare: questa porta conserva la memoria di chi ha attraversato queste mura molto prima di noi.

Puoi parcheggiare alle coordinate indicate e con una breve passeggiata puoi arrivare alla porta, da lì, recuperata la cache, ti consiglio una passeggiata tra le strade di Istia d’Ombrone prima di ripartire. This ancient medieval gate, called the "Portaccia," was one of the main entrances to the village of Istia d’Ombrone. Today it remains as a large arch of stone and bricks, a silent witness to centuries of history.
Once merchants, peasants, and travelers passed through it; now the wind and light play among its worn stones, offering glimpses of the Ombrone Valley. Stop for a moment to observe: this gate preserves the memory of those who crossed these walls long before us.
The cache is hidden nearby: search calmly and respectfully, and let the history of this place accompany you to your small treasure. You can park at the coordinates provided, and with a short walk, you can reach the gate.
