Avenel is a rural township located 114km north of Melbourne on the old Sydney Road, 1.5km west of the Hume Freeway.
Avenel Railway Station is on the Melbourne to Sydney line.
This cache is placed just off the Freeway, so you have a lot more town to discover, but this will get your geocaching started in town.
