Welcome to Whimzeyland! This is a special place and core part of Safety Harbors artistic history. This home is owned by Todd and Karalinda, two local artists! They began the transformation of their home in the 1980s and turned a small brown bungalow into a large public display of art made out of mosaics, paintings, statues, beads, and more. Growing up in Safety Harbor, I always knew it as the 'Bowling Ball House', famous for all the bowling balls that line the walkways around the home. Over the years they have added and created more art, and the home is better known as 'Whimzeyland' currently. I have received permission from Karalinda to place a cache here, so please feel free to wander around the outside of the home and admire the years of creativity showcased here!
Todd and Karalinda also created SHAMc (Safety Harbor Art and Music Center), which hosts live music, art and events for the community. It is located on 2nd St. N in downtown.
Whimzeyland has grown in popularity over the years, so be careful of muggles! You are looking for a long clear tube with a log inside. There are many places here a cache could hide, but only one place is perfect tube shaped!
