Welcome to Bonners Ferry, a wonderful little town with a rich and varied history! There are many shops and restaurants to explore in old part of town. The cache is near the welcome sign at the north end of town beside Hwy 95 and can only be accessed from the southbound/ downhill lanes. There is a small pullout big enough for a couple of vehicles. The old Hwy 95 trail can be accessed from this point and is a popular area for joggers and dog owners out for some exercise. Stealth is needed.
It took us a while to settle on the perfect hiding place due to the high muggle activity. The cache is NOT near the sign, the barrier wall, nor in the small trees above it. You are looking for a very small plastic container painted navy blue and has room for a few small items. The container is cleverly hidden out in the open on top of the knoll. Please, do not tear up any vegetation and rehide the container as carefully as you found it, so this hide can remain unmuggled. The cache will not be available in the winter.
