Geocache Description:

The Leque Island Unit consists of wetlands and tidal marsh habitat. This is a popular site for waterfowl hunting, wildlife observation and photography, and walking. The habitat provides areas for wildlife ranging from waterfowl, mammals, raptors, and passerine birds. The land is managed by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and a Discover Pass is required to park here.

Let's work together to make this nature area litter free!

Host will supply bags - you bring gloves, grabbers, and enthusiasm.

WARNING: When coming from Stanwood on State Route 532 DO NOT attempt to turn left into Leque Island Estuary crossing the double yellow lines, instead continue west and turn left at Smith Road make a U-turn and head east on 532 turning right into the Estuary avoiding a possible ticket!

Optionally, come early for the Skagit Wildlife Pre-CITO Social
