Welcome to the Copper Coast!
The Dryland Farming Centre was built in Matta Flat - Kadina in 2002 and later became the Copper Coast Visitor Information Centre serving the tourists and locals with information from all over South Australia in the fields of tourism and local knowledge, they can assist with some history and has a National Trust - Farm Shed Heritage Museum as part of the complex. The 18 hole Putt Putt course is popular (and hides a geocache) as is the Indoor Playcentre for under 10 year olds. Recently adding some information from interstate has been a popular decision as well as the free bookswap! Refreshments and bathroom facilities are within the complex as well. Free Wi-Fi has given geocachers access to the web and the ability to print out those pesky puzzles needing some decoding. Cemetery information is also able to be accessed here!
The Shade area by the grassed lawn is the location for our gathering. There is no need to enter the building nor is there any requirement to purchase anything to be here.
Originally planned for Australia Day, this event was cancelled and now I hope to bring you those promised lamingtons and some Aussie treats and you are welcome to bring a plate to add to the share table - but certainly not required to.
There will be a random game/prize for a couple of attendees at a random point during the hour.
Dogs on a short leash are permitted at the Shade structure and in the complex and museum should you wish to visit those - they are not permitted within 5 metres of the putt putt course as per Council by-law No. 5.
