Paul Scholes is one of Manchester United’s greatest-ever midfielders, renowned for his intelligence, vision, and exceptional passing range. Born on 16 November 1974 in Salford, Greater Manchester, he grew up in the nearby town of Langley and joined Manchester United’s youth system as a teenager. A true one-club man, Scholes spent his entire professional career at United, winning 11 Premier League titles and two Champions Leagues. Despite his quiet personality, he controlled games with ease with his pinpoint passing and powerful shooting, and is widely admired by teammates and opponents as one of the finest midfielders of his generation.
