Before heading into Oneroa village on the left hand side of the road is the Waiheke Artworks, Library and Cinema. This cache is hidden on the opposite side of the road.
The Waiheke Community Art Gallery offers a range of exhibitions and programmes. The gallery is open daily 10am-4pm with Free entry.
The Waiheke Library is open most days and has free wifi available. There is also a big concrete area outside location for hang outs and social meetups. Sometimes there are performances hosted there. This includes a big 3 metre chess board, cultural sculptures, outdoor seating, and a drinking fountain.
The Waiheke Island Community Cinema is a cinema that has been around over 20 Years now and shows many of the latest movies as well as some of the old classics.Their website has all the details like movie times and bookings, plus things like trailers, hiring out the full cinema for events/parties. This cozy 50-seat venue boasts an enchanting atmosphere adorned with plush sofas donated by the community, and is a good place to visit on a wet day.
