I Can See The Pub From Here #179 - Treleigh
This is the 179th in the series of caches set out to celebrate that wonderful Great British establishment, the pub.
Located aside the A3047, sometimes known as the Treleigh bypass, this traditional building sits gaurd at the entrance to the small hamlet of Treleigh. In the 1980's, the name changed to something un-traditional, but sometime in the 2010's returned to it's original name. Treleigh is within it's own parish, on the border with Redruth. It once had a Manor House, closer to Redruth, belonging to Sir William Knighton, who was a physician to George IV. A descendant of Sir Francis Drake, Colonel Drake, owned the manor through marriage to one of Knighton's daughters.
It's best to avoid the area between 3pm and 4pm weekdays, it can get very busy near GZ at these times. Be stealthy. Please replace securely. Tweezers required. Above head height, taller person maybe required.
