CITO season 1 for 2026 will run from 1st March until 31st May
This will be our Fifth CITO along this stretch of the Normanton by-pass (previous attendees will know the area well!)
Previous events made a massive difference to the area at the time but, unfortunately, once again there is a build up of litter and fly-tipping.
We are asking you to come along and join us as we clean up the area. It’s actually good fun, there's time to chat and catch up with friends and swap stories of geo-adventures you've had and you’ll be awarded a souvenir, automatically, on your profile page once you have logged your attendance for this event. As with our previous CITOs we will bring along cold drinks and cakes / donuts to help keep those energy levels up.
Litter pickers, hand sanitiser, and bin bags will be provided.
We would strongly recommend you wear thick gloves, gardenning gloves are ideal. Also appropriate clothing and footwear.
There's plenty of parking spaces available at the given location, we just ask that you park with consideration for others.
We look forward to your support and hope see you there. Children are welcome to take part but should be supervised by a responsible adult AT ALL TIMES. A risk assessment will take place, however everyone takes part at their own risk.
