Date: Sunday, April 12, 2026
Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM CST
Location: Mayfair Public Library, Saskatoon, SK ADDRESS 602 33rd St W, Saskatoon, SK S7L 0W1
We will arrive at 1:45 pm to set up tables and chairs. All clean up must be completed before 4:15 pm with tables and floors clean, tables and chairs put away, etc.
RSVP Required: Please log your "Will Attend" with the number in your party so we can prepare enough additional materials.
Participant Requirements:
- Bring Your Own Container: Please bring one 4x3” or 6x4” size Lock & Lock (or similar brand) container. (Not glass) Ensure it has locking flaps and a rubber gasket seal for water resistance. It may be helpful to bring a box to carry it home in while the camouflage sets up.
- What to wear? If you are partaking in the “building a cache” activity – well this may potentially get messy! Scruffy gear or a smock is highly suggested. We will have “disposable” plastic gloves – you are free to bring your own workshop rubber gloves.
- We Supply the "Magic" Natural Camo Mastery: A high-quality cache should be an interactive piece of art that survives the harsh Saskatchewan seasons while remaining invisible to the "muggle" eye. This is an active, DIY crafting session. We will provide the specialized adhesives and organic textures; you provide the container and the creativity!
- Show & Tell: Pere Rabbit will display master-level caches and also provide a demonstration on how to sift and color your own particles at home!

The Magic of Quality: A "Build-A-Cache" Workshop
What defines a "quality" geocache? Is it the standard of excellence measured against others, or a distinctive attribute that makes a find unforgettable? To us, quality is that spark of enchantment: the rush of triumph when a seeker finally spots a clever container, and the joy in their eyes as they sign the log. Check the log for a post by Pere Rabbit with photo examples of the conversion of a loc n loc to an invisible cache.
This event is a hands-on “Build-A-Cache” Workshop. We are moving beyond the "pill bottle in a bush" and focusing on the art of Natural Camouflage. A high-quality cache should be an interactive piece of art that survives the harsh Saskatchewan seasons while remaining invisible to the "muggle" eye.
We are calling all Saskatchewan cachers—from those dreaming of their very first hide to seasoned veterans looking to elevate their craft—to join us for a hands-on workshop dedicated to rekindling the wonder of the game.
Where the 'Muggle' eye sees nothing, a cacher finds magic.
Making the invisible, incredible
What We’re Making
This isn't just a lecture; it's a DIY creation session! We will be exploring the Art of Natural Camouflage. We’ll show you how to transform a standard container into an "invisible" masterpiece that blends perfectly into the Saskatchewan landscape.
- The Workshop: We provide the "creative juices" (specialized adhesives, organic textures, and tools).
- The Project: You bring a container, and we help you camouflage it.
- The Goal: These projects are going home with you! Our only request is that if you build a project, you agree to hide and list it for the community to find (no special equipment i.e. no TOTT required for the find) or you agree to donate your build to a "hider."
- The Reward: Every cache creator will receive a chocolate reward for their hard work! 😋
Quality is the standard; magic is the result
High-quality hides start with high-quality makers.
