The cache can be accessed by several trails, the shortest distance being approximately 1.6 miles one way. The terrain varies according to the trail taken, from scenic riverwalk and pine trails to hilly pine and meadow. Trails are marked and a map can be obtained at the park office. Please stay on the trails until you're close. Cache is not far off the trail. Take water during the summer. Some trails are muddy after a long rain. The park is closed on Wednesdays and Christmas.
The cache is a medium-sized ammo can. Original contents include metallic crayons, Operation CD, a die cast airplane, scented candle, a deck of cards, Eswau Geo Chest #1 with foreign coins, Mardi gras beads, and other first finder goodies.
