engel-cox: We will post a new home base for our travel bug, but it will likely be another type of music theme. Thanx all for visiting while it lasted!

Geocache Description:

A short walk from a red line Metro station (hint has exact station). Cache is in a local park on non-federal land (which is hard to find in D.C.).

The DC CD cache is a theme cache around music. We put six low cost compact disks in it to begin with, as well as a casette of the Garrison Keillor Lake Wobegon joke show and a "gimme" radio from my workplace. This cache is also the home (origin and final destination) of the Troubadour Travel Bug.

While it is not necessary to stick with the theme, we hope people will bring music (or music-related) items to share here.

The cache itself is in a fairly busy area (there's so few areas in D.C. that are non-Federal parks that aren't busy), but it is far enough away from houses that it should be okay. You may want to practice your Aldritch Ames skills (oh, wait! this isn't Virginia, is it?), however, and be surreptitious about finding and returning the cache. People often bring their dogs here for exercise and it's also a popular hill for sledding when snow is on the ground. Have fun finding one of the few traditional caches in the District!
