This cache is located off one of the many trails in Bear Swamp The cache is a small tuperware container. The cache is on state land. There is no need to go on private property to get this cache. If you are heading down Bear Swamp Road from Cutain Rd wait until you see the State Land signs before parking.

Bear Swamp Area
Bear Swamp Creek rises in the Town of Sempronius near the Cortland line and flows north through Sempronius and part of Niles, altogether about 5 miles. The Swamp itself lies mostly in Sempronius with a small section of it in the south-eastern corner of Niles. In its widest part it is approximately 90 rods wide and covers 500 acres.
