The cache is hidden near Llyn-y-foel 1800ft, the Caldera of Moel Siabod, which is part of the Snowdon volcanic group of mountains. There are two possible start points, Capel Curig (easier) or Dolwyddelan (longer more interesting walk). You will need the OS map for this area to find this cache. Not forgetting you’re compass and to check the weather before setting out.
The start co-ordinates have been updated; I have just upgraded my GPSr.Location accurate with an EPE of 6meters.
I visited the cache 28th September with the new Garmin Legend, now I am able to provide more accurate co-ordinates, the projected waypoint exercise was tested a number of times, with a target accuracy of 5meter radius.
The cache (a large white plastic waterproof container with a red lid) is hidden (bearing/distance) 48 degrees (True) 200 meters from the co-ordinates given. This is a projected waypoint,
There is an Travelling Alien on board #61 (www.travelingalien.com), rescued from a cache in Pennsylvania USA,
