The cache is at the end of a 5 minute walk in the woods of northern Greenville County about 25 miles from downtown. Note: access to area is by gravel road.

Well, folks, all good things must come to an end. After almost 4 1/2 years, this cache has finally lost itself to vandalism. I would replace it with another in the same area, but I fear that those who trashed the original one would do the same with the replacement. I've received many wonderful replies from those who have taken the time and effort to hike to this glorious site. I know it has been a favorite of mine for quite a number of years.
I feel sadness for those who wish to spoil the healthy fun that Geocaching brings to its participants. Maybe one of these days, they will have an epiphany.

The cache is hidden well under a fallen tree. From this point, you can see the city of Greenville at about 25 miles distance. This is one of my favorite spots any time of the year. If you like nature (wild flowers, wild turkeys, deer, and maybe the occasional black bear), you will love this location.
There are two "trails" leading to the cache. One trail is marked by a big green sign at the beginning. The other trail is about 50 yards south of the first down the gravel access road - there is a wooden sign to mark the trail head. They both end up at the intended destination.
The cache is contained in a clear blue "tupperware" type container. Its initial contents are as follows:
2 stretchy lizards
1 Big Bird figure
1 mini deck of cards
1 mini slinky
1 vibrating plush monster
1 Travel Bug (Jimbo #1) who wants to travel...
1 log book with mechanical pencil
