Great beginner's cache. Short walk from nice neighborhood park. Located along fairly easy paths through scrub brush.
For years we've heard rumors about a place referred to as "Hidden Park" in our community of Mira Mesa, but no one has ever told us that they had been there or could even say where it was located. It is our desire that this cache will help others to find this little jewel of a neighborhood park.
This is the first cache we have hidden and should be a great one for beginners. The best way to discover the park is to begin your search by parking at the following coordinates (N 32 54.858', W 117 09.577'). It is only a short hike to the cache on fairly level ground.
The cache is a medium-sized, rectangular, clear plastic container with green trim on the lid and it is initially filled with an assortment of small toys.
Note: The park is in the neighborhood of Challenger Middle School ... hence the name of this cache:-)
PUBLIC TRANSIT: The nearest bus route is the 921 (weekends: 921A) that runs along Mira Mesa Boulevard. It's a little over half a mile's walk (each way) to the cache.
