Geocache Description:

This cache is located about 1/4 mile off the 60fwy and Phillips Ranch Rd. Great uphill hike on a good trail. Start at 1120ft and rise to 1220 ft at the top.

Louis Phillips owned all the land that is now Diamond Bar, Pomona, and Phillips Ranch (hence the name Phillips Ranch). This was a bustling cowboy town called Spadra back in the late 1800's as evidenced by the Phillips Mansion appxt 3.4 miles away which was built in 1875. Louis Phillips also owned and operated a stage coach and a hotel here on his ranch.

You may park your car at the trailhead N34 00.839' W117 45.938' on Chino Ave.

You are looking for a black plastic medium sized ammo box.

You will find a great view of "Spadra".
