Overlooked Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Geocaching HQ: This cache has now been archived as requested by IDNR. You have 30 days to seek a permit from IDNR and have your cache approved again by your local reviewer. You can find the new policy, the form to apply for a permit, and the step-by-step instructions on what to do to have your cache unarchived at http://www.in.gov/dnr/7488.htm .

Please be sure to read through the new policy so that we can help to publish your cache again as soon as possible. Your local reviewers and Groundspeak are available to answer any questions. You will find at the bottom of this log the email addresses of the Indiana Reviewers as well as a contact at Groundspeak who are happy to help.

Please know that the Indiana reviewers have done everything in their power to keep as many caches as possible on IDNR lands and to make this transition as smooth as possible. They have worked long and hard with the IDNR to come up with a new policy that will work for most cache owners. We are very sorry for any inconvenience the implementation of this permit process may cause.

Geocache Description:

This cache is in a little known and often "overlooked" area of Morgan-Monroe State Forest. My GPS said it is .64 miles from the parking lot to the cache.

Turn west off of State Rd. 37 at the water tower. Yes, I said WEST!!! The only parking is on W. Freeway Rd. This is a small isolated portion of M-M and is surrounded by private property. Parking Coords are N 39 18.588 W 086 33.376.
The cache container is an ammo box and the original contents are:
First Finders prize (taking up most of the space and if you wear an XL shirt you will be very happy!!)
Carolina Pocket Pliers
K&N filters lanyard
Butterfly pin
Mikes car wash "the works" card (Vehicles seem to get really grungey during caching trips!)
A small address book
An inflatable glow ball
2 biners

Moovin' Along Travel Bug

log book, pens, and pencils

There is no clue for this cache, it should be a fairly easy find once you get in the area. It is hidden very well, please re-hide it as you found it! When I placed the cache there was a lot of deer sign, tracks in the snow, beds, rubs, and places where they dug in the snow looking for food. If you sneak along you may just see a few deer! Enjoy!
