Duck Hunt (Bucks) Traditional Cache
Lactodorum: Rather than keep this cache temporarily disabled (which should only be used for shortish periods) I'm archiving it. If/when the cache is ever replaced I'll gladly unarchive it assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Wilstone Reservoir can be located right on the Herts/Bucks border and is a short drive from Aylesbury, Tring & almost anywhere in the county. This is a regular ammo box (Donated kindly by P.Howard) with an official Geocaching sticker on it.
Parking can be located at N 51° 48.740 W 000° 41.412. This spot will greet you with a nice flight of stairs which you will need to assend. Mouth watering views of rolling country side await so don't be shy. From here follow the arrow to the hiding spot. Certain areas of this reservoir and its surround have been made nature reserves and the land is unspoilt and natural. Close to the cache hiding place a large notice can be found giving information about the inhabitants of the water. Any bird enthusiasts will be in for a treat.
Satellite tracking may suffer slightly due to tree cover but should not stop you reaching your goal. More information about the reservoir, birds & local groups can be found inside the bird watch, this also makes a good place to take the cache & fill in the log book without worrying about being seen or getting rained on. Bring the Kids, your pets and even the grandparents ;) Its a perfect place for a family trip out.
