Geocache Description:

This easy to find cache is designed to use some other components of your GPS. This is a control point for Deschutes County Surveyors office. They use this point to callibrate the expensive and very accurate GPS survey instruments. Actual coords are: (NAD 83)
Latitude 44 01' 12.53426" N
Longitude 121 22' 09.96186" W

1.Park at the listed Coords.
2.Change map datum to NAD 83
3. Change units to hddd mm ss.s. Enter the cords listed below rounded unless you can add more digits.
Lat 44.01.12.6
Long 121.22.10.0
4. Find plain brass disk grouted into a rock
5. Convert back to WGS 84 and hddd mm.mmm
6. Leave unit on disk for three minutes. Mark and record
Coords.
7. While waiting for GPS walk to the North and bag Benchmark 938. On your way there look for a fallen "V" tree. The cache is located near its base. The cache contains only a log book. Sorry no SWAG.
8. Log your find and tell me the coords and the altitude (if so equipped) you get after three minutes and the type of GPS unit.
