Welcome to another Highway 101 Cache. This peaceful spot is right off the highway, and the cache is a short walk.
There are hundreds of wonderful places to stop along the "Blue Star Memorial Highway", and this stop has a nice plaque explaining the dedication of the highway and thanking our Armed Forces for their protection of this country.
The cache is off the beaten path, and down the hill from the parking area. If the grass is wet, you might get your shoes wet, and sometimes there is a little mud, but...it's a nice place by the river. The cache is located in an ammo box at the base of a moss covered tree. There are many mossy trees, but this one looks almost dead and has many branches growing at odd angles from the base.
As always, please be careful extracting and replacing the cache, try not to trample down the living plants in the area.
