Cooee's Mad Dash Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Balayang: I am archiving this cache due to the unfortunate lack of action taken to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, Team Enigma, requesting additional time.

Despite ample opportunities provided for the Cache Owner to respond, their silence leads me to the conclusion that the cache has been abandoned.

In such cases, archived caches will not be unarchived, and as a result, this location is now open for the placement of a new cache by another interested party.

Thanks,

Balayang

Geocache Description:

A top view of Bremer Bay

This cache was placed by Team Enigma, with able assistance from Fi, Dale and Cooee the wonderdog. Actually more asistance from Cooee than we really needed, but wonderdogs are like that.

The terrain is fairly densly covered as you get closer to the cache. Try not to blunder about too much, as you will beat a trail like an elephant and nobody wants you to damage the environment. So you need to sneak up on it, ok? The loc is also a bit fuzzy (dense cover, remember?)

You best strategy would be to get right onto the coordinate, then sit still and visually search around you, you should pick it up easily enough.

Cache contains some useful things plus our usual deck of playing cards.

The coordinates *are* accidental, we didnt try for the transposing last three digits, but it happened anyway. We'll take it as a good sign.

Take the time to visit the pub and introduce yourself to the local fellas, they are an exceptional bunch of people and you'll have a ball. The pub has good accommodation and there are two good caravan parks nearby, as well as bush camping with limited facilities in the nearby Fitzgerald River National Park.

If you have a boat there are some of the best Blue Swimmer crabs ripe for the picking in the estuary, watch your prop as it is very shallow and weedy. There are also good sized bream in the river, plus some of the best beach fishing we have ever done.

Enjoy!

NOTE - added Jan 2nd, 2010 - It's now been quite a few years since the cache was laid and Team Enigma have not been back to visit it since - part of the joys of working in the mining industry and being shuffled all over the world. It would appear that the vegetation in the area where the cache was originally laid has grown considerably in the intervening period and is causing people some degree of difficulty in navigating to it, plus requiring a fair bit of worming and wriggling through the bush. It was never our intention for this to be a bush bashing exercise but hey - the environment is constantly changing. Regards - Team Enigma
