Scottish Hillside - Fine and Dandy Traditional Cache
Quasar: With great regret I archive my first cache hide, the 14th cache in Victoria. The area was burnt off and the track is closed for regeneration indefinitely. Thanks to all who found Scottish Hillside.

A wide, flat plastic container with a clear lid, mostly covered by grass and leaf litter. Elevation approx 480m.
This cache is hidden in between a triangle of gum trees all of which are burnt and blackened, showing signs of an old bushfire and one of which is hollow. It's only about 15m off the trail. You can approach this from above or below. It's about a 600m walk from the nearest road at the bottom, or about 400m from the top. The terrain is very steep and slippery in winter so wear some sturdy footwear. And remember to take a camera because the view is spectacular!
Note 1/7/2002 - the cache is restocked, but the area of dead trees is not much of a guide any more as they've grown back. There is also no pink ribbon any more!
