Geocache Description:

The Witches Pond Crystal Cache

This is quite an easy cache to locate although depending on the weather it can get fairly muddy. Don’t miss the scenery while you are busy looking for the cache though as some of it is stunning. This route will become especially nice during the autumn when you will look down across the valley and see the multicoloured woodlands. Wildlife is plentiful in this area, some of it not quite what you might expect though! Keep your eyes open and you might see anything from a group of Hares, some Buffalo, the odd Llama or two or a large herd of albino Deer! Oh, and I mustn’t forget the Highland Cattle. I swear the calves look like fluffy teddy bears!!

The best place to park is at a pond known locally as “The Witch Pond”. Its this that gives this cache its name. It’s a somewhat unusual place; especially at dusk……….Odd happenings have been reported so keep your eyes open!

Please take note of the signs and keep dogs on leads as there are often sheep and pheasants in this area.

The cache is a small 4”x5” container which is filled to the top with all sorts of crystals! It would be nice to keep the contents along the same lines!
