Geocache Description:

Spider Rock is one of the prettier locations along the shore of this lake. Accessible by water or land. (Water access is rated. Haven't done the land route yet.)

This site is of historical significance to our family. The site is named for the large dock spiders that inhabited the rocks when our family first settled this cottage region. (The spiders are long gone now.)

For water access, the whitewater preserve at the north end of the lake (on Horseshoe Lake Rd.) is a spectacular launch location to start a peaceful 15 minute paddle to the site. The location for that launch site is N 44° 57.994' W 78° 41.006'

The cache is in a large margarine tub.
