Geocache Description:

This is one of a series of caches placed in cooperation with the Oklahoma Department of Tourism intended to promote tourism and geocaching in Oklahoma state parks. These caches are being featured on the "Discover Oklahoma" TV program.

The cache is located along the Three Forks & Fossil Trails in Sequoyah State Resort Park. Be sure and visit the nearby Three Forks Nature Center. Be observant along the trail and you might see some wildlife. There are deer, opossum, coyote, armadillo, and even purportedly a bobcat.

Two trailheads provide access to the cache. The first is about 100 yards SE and behind the nature center at N35 53.718 W095 14.446. The second, and easier one, is along the road NE of the nature center (look for the sign).

The container is a large ammo can. This is a theme cache, loaded with Oklahoma related items. Initial contents include:
Oklahoma state maps and brochures
Oklahoma shot glass
Oklahoma keychain
Oklahoma refrigerator magnet
Oklahoma stickers
OK pin
...and more.
