Cache is located near a pass where a beautiful view of NE El Paso can be seen in one direction, and McKelligon Canyon can be seen in the other. The easiest route is from McKelligon Canyon. Park at N31 50.102 E106 28.659, and head up the creek bed to the pass and go from there. It is about a 500M walk (one way) with a 400+ ft elevation gain, and will take about an hour and a half. I took my dogs when I placed this cache, and they didn't have any problems, but I would be wary if you have small children. Watch out for the yuccas (there is a reason some are called Spanish Bayonets). It would probably be wise to watch out for snakes also, as this area is very rocky. The last 50 meters or so to the cache is quite steep and loose, so tread carefully. The cache is up against an appx 30ft cliff, so when you get close, expect your GPS accuracy to drop considerably.
The cache can also be reached from Alabama St, but this is a good bit farther and more challenging. If you like bouldering, this is the way to go. The arroyo that leads up to the pass is filled with them, starting about 600M from Alabama. As for parking, there isn't much available in this area, but you might be able to find something across Alabama in the residential area.
Cache contains a camera (please take a photo), logbook, some currency from Somalia, Kenya, and Thailand, an "Amazing Bangkok" guidebook, some Army patches, a couple of postcards, a few stickers, a small pocketknife, and a William Beaumont AMC can cozy. I also released the Combat Infantry Bug at this location.
