Geocache Description:

This is a nice area all the year.

Walk around Kärsön. There are buses to Ekerö and The Drottningholm Royal Castle. Perhaps you want to see where the Swedish King and family lives and it's there in Drottningholm. If you want to have a nice walk in nature you could press the red button the bus stop before Drottningholm. That's Kärsön and it's a beautiful and fresh walk, around an island with a varying landscape. Kärsön is a nature reserve and enough for a daily walk around. There's a nice café near the entrance to Kärsön and another just before the walking track begin.
Varying landscape. To get to the entrance of the walkin track one goes or drives passes Brostugan on the left hand. Turns right to the road that leads to an Activity Center and Kärsögårdens coffee hous on the left hand. On the oppsite side there's a parking place and further down the road at the end, begins the walking track around Kärsön. I think clockwise is the best way to walk around and the track is marked with red color. You come to an meadow after about 100 meters where the track goes in differnt directions. We go to the left where there's a post standing marked with red at the top. On the way you'll find many nice spots made for a pause. If it's not to dry in the ground one can make a fire and grill some sausages. The landscape is varying with all kind of forest and goes through open landscape as well. One walks with the lake Mälaren on the left hand side the entire track around Kärsön. So one can't really get lost and on the other side of the island one sees Drottningholm from a different angle. The King's boat use to be at the bridge if he's at home. The tour round Kärsön is apr. 5 km.

***
A rectangular 0,9L transparent plastic box, with transparent cover and a blue edge. Wrapped in a green plastic bag.

You have to find two placeis.
On the first place you find a year digits, and a date number carved in the erect rock.

The final position is N59´19.AAA E017´53.BBB

Subtract 1348 from the year digits and you have AAA.
Add 826 to the first two digits in the year and you have BBB.
Now you can find the cache.

Good luck

Tyvärr lämnade Jan oss i 2020. Under hösten samma år kontaktades familjen om att adoptera de sjuttiotal aktiva IT-gubben cachar, för att hålla dessa i liv och för framtida generationer. I april 2021 startades projektet Rädda IT-gubbens geoskatt! – med målsättning att finna lokala geocachare som vill adoptera och förvalta en eller flera av IT-gubbens gömmor nära sig.
