Geocache Description:

Redwood Regional Park trail

Trail-Trekkers are a series of eight hikes on Bay Area trails designed for Cub Scouts.
This cache is along the path of the Redwood Creek Trail-Trekker.
This cache is a two liter Rubbermaid container. It is on a small unmarked but well-defined side trail off of the main trail. No cross country is required and only a few feet of bushwhacking is required. Beware of the poison oak nearby.
Don't miss the great views from there especially in the morning when the valley is fogged.
I’ve rigged it so that the Cub Scouts of Pack 379 in Newark had the first find, but if you find it next, you can consider yourself first. I won’t mind.

9/25/04 I replaced the cache container today and moved the cache 250' West to get away from the poison oak shrubs and to a place with a better view. It's not in PO now, but that stuff has a way of finding caches faster than the best cachers so watch out especially in the Fall and Winter when the PO shrubs have no leaves.

Please maintain the cache quality.
Trade up, trade even or don't trade. No Cachetrash!

Redwood Regional Park in the Oakland hills has an eight mile bicycle trail, equestrian trails and allows dogs on and off leashed depending on the trail.
The trail that Trail-Trekker #1 is on allows horses, bicycles and dogs off-leash.
