This is a nice, short hike (with gradual incline) that will take
you to a great overlook of the Santa Clarita Valley. Suggested
parking coordinates are N34° 25.993 W118° 32.501. From the parking
spot, enter through the left side of fence. This area is visited a
lot by the neighbors so don't be shy. Also, you don't need to climb
the very steep hill. There is a nice trail to the south that is
much easier. For shy geocachers, an alternate access point is
located at N34 26.321 W118 32.408.
UPDATE: 3/25/08 - I have replaced the cache and it is pretty close
to the trail. You don't have to scramble down the hill.
When I was young these hills were my playground during the summer.
It's nice being able to share it with my family and other cachers.
See if you can locate the benchmark which is VERY close to the
cache site. Don't bother trying to log the benchmark, it's not in
the database.
I recommend wearing hiking boots or shoes with a good sole and
pants. Good luck!
