Geocache Description:

THIS CACHE HAS BEEN UPDATED: 03 / 29 / 2005

WHERE TO GO:
This should be an easy two-step cache which starts at the West end of the Warren Ave. Bridge. There is a small park just North of the CENCOM(Central Communications) Building utilized by local police, fire and other emergency services in and around the Bremerton and Kitsap County.
PARKING: Firstly, you will have to find a place to park. I recommend parking at the North end of Elizabeth Ave.(by the Red Diamond Shaped Sign) for several reasons. Parking elsewhere may get you a ticket and crossing a four lane highway may get you injured. The parking across the street from the CENCOM Building is for Olympic College Students and Teachers Only and is regularly patrolled by their own security.

Secondly, you will be coming back towards you car when you figure out where the actual cache is hidden.

WHAT TO DO: After parking your vehicle:
1. Walk South on Elizabeth Ave. to 17th Street.
2. Walk West on 17th Street to Warren Ave.
3. Walk North on Warren Ave.
4. Enter park North of CENCOM Building before bridge.
THE FIRST CONTAINER: Now it's time to find the first container. You might have to set your sights a little higher than usual. In that container will be the coordinates to the final cache site, which is down at the lower half of the park, near where you should have parked your vehicle.

THE CACHE: Once you have reached the lower level of the park, you will find a small picnic area with tables. Bring a lunch and a non-alcoholic beverage to consume, after you have found the cache and enjoy the view. BTW, the "Warren Ave Bridge Cache" is straight across the water and at the other end of the bridge.

The cache is not within this small area, but towards the under side of the bridge. You will undoubtedly find trash scattered about, since some people like to throw stuff off the bridge, not to mention a few homeless people who hide out under the bridge itself now and then.

The actual location of the cache is accessable only when the tide is out, unless you know the secret shortcut. So, you might want to check the tide charts before you leave home.

THE FINAL CACHE CONTAINER: It is a small cylindrical plastic container that is purple in color and within a black Radio Shack plastic bag. Within the container you will find some miscellaneous stuff left over from other caches. After you have made your selection from the goodies and have signed the log book, please re-hide the cache so the homeless people don't find it.
