It is good road all the way to the cache area and can be approached from different roads. During winter months, the road may be closed due to snow but it's clear now. It would not be RV friendly anytime of year.
There is no actual trail to the cache and it requires hiking up the mountain. There are several different ways to approach it, the hardest being straight up the mountain. You will have a fantastic view of Grants Pass and less than 1/2 mile away is a view of the Shan Creek area, complete with picnic table and bathroom.
The ammo can has the usual assortment of treasures and the log book. We will e-mail the coveted First Finder's Certificate to the lucky cacher that treks up there first.
